Fifteen plus NC wedding vendors came together to create a masterpiece themed “Spring Fling” in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. This Uptown Charlotte rooftop wedding happened on January 30, 2021 and it highlights the Queen City’s true beauty and serves as the perfect Uptown Charlotte skyline wedding inspiration. Wedding Planner Evelyn Kibwana, Owner of Events by Evelyn, led the spring-inspired photo shoot. At the planning table, Evelyn worked closely with the Florist to refine the intricate details for the blend of bold and delicate florals, and to handpick the table linen and napkins, table accents, and elegant chairs that would both complement and contrast while making the tablescape beautifully cohesive.
It was the perfect time of year to create a styled shoot that showcases vibrant yet soft colors. Evelyn hopes more future couples will embrace bold color schemes when it comes to selecting a wedding color palette. Uptown Charlotte served as a spectacular backdrop for this styled shoot. Bright floral arrangements, intricate table settings, luxury chairs and stunning bridal attire popped against the Uptown Charlotte skyline.
Uptown Charlotte has tons to offer NC couples who are planning a wedding or event. From retail and restaurants to breweries and boutiques, your wedding guests will not be bored. With over fifty hotels in the Uptown Charlotte area, your wedding guests will have plenty of options for where to stay. Plus, most of the hotels have ballrooms and rooftop patios! If you want to host an unforgettable wedding in your home state, Uptown Charlotte is an excellent option!
Wedding planner Evelyn wanted to include as many local wedding professionals in this Uptown Charlotte wedding styled shoot as possible.
“As planner and designer, the effort and talent every vendor added to this shoot was phenomenal and more importantly the styled shoot portrays the beauty of Charlotte and what we all call our home,” Evelyn says.
With incredible views of Uptown Charlotte from the rooftop, it’s easy to see why the Queen City is a dream wedding location! The sky-high rooftop of Springhill Suites is where this styled shoot took place. The rooftop location offers a spectacular view of the surrounding buildings, including The Spectrum Center and First Ward Park. The Hornets’ Nest Ballroom and Rooftop Patio are perfect event spaces for your Uptown Charlotte wedding reception.
Bright spring-inspired colors were used in this styled wedding shoot. Multi-color flowers, candles, drinking glasses and chairs brought in touches of bright colors complemented by accents of silver and gold to complete the shoot’s aesthetic. The entire design embraced orange and light pink colors, showcasing future brides that bold color schemes are 100% achievable. Cohesive colors created a special ambiance of fun times and happiness.
The beaded lace wedding dress selected for this shoot was from Charlotte Fabulous Frocks. The gown added texture to the styled shoot and was paired with a delicate, simple veil. The bride’s gold headpiece helped tie in the greenery around her bouquet of flowers. She also wore a pair of blue suede heels that matched the fabric tied around the bouquet of flowers.
Themes of spring, clean and fun were used to complete the wedding cake design for the big day! Icing flowers, a pearled icing technique layer and classic smooth pink and gold layers brought the whole cake look perfectly together. Flowers and matching candles surrounded the table while a beautiful cityscape sparkled in the backdrop.
The table settings also highlighted the bright playful colors of Evelyn’s styled shoot. Orange napkins and pink glasses brought the spring theme to life! White and pink linens were laid upon the tables and accents of silver and gold glasses and tea light candles were placed around the flower centerpieces.
